My mother and grandfather always had a camera around. Always capturing our adventures and family gatherings. It’s no surprise to me that my first major purchase ($125 as an thirteen year-old) was a used Minolta X-700. There is something in the duality of photography that fascinates me. To be a part of an experience, yet observing and capturing it. To be in a flow state, yet constantly aware. It is a fine line, and a fun one to explore. I like to say I take portraits of nature, and landscapes of people. In all of my work I strive to capture the essence of a thing, what lies beyond our physical perception, what extends in all directions through eternity.
